Home Zone

All students who live at an address within the home zone described below* (and shown on the map) shall be entitled to enrol at Crofton Downs Primary School.

With the exception of Simla Crescent, and unless otherwise specified below, addresses on both sides of all boundary streets are included in the zone, as are all addresses on all streets that are located within the boundary lines.

Starting in the south: Beginning at the intersection of Churchill Drive and Blackbridge Road, the boundary follows the bed of the Kaiwharawhara Stream east through Trellissick Park (excluding any Wadestown addresses) to a point immediately south of the eastern end of Ngaio Gorge Road; turn northwards from the stream bed in a straight line to meet the eastern end of Ngaio Gorge Road at the point where it becomes Kaiwharawhara Road.

The boundary continues along Ngaio Gorge Road westward to its intersection with Perth Street; turn right into Perth Street and follow Perth Street to its intersection with Crofton Road; turn left into Crofton Road and follow Crofton Road north and westward to its intersection with Ottawa Road; turn right into Ottawa Road and follow Ottawa Road northward until it meets Khandallah Road; continue north and east along Khandallah Road until its intersection with Simla Cres (note: even numbered addresses on Khandallah Road up to and including number 98 are included in the zone; even numbered addresses on Khandallah Road beyond number 98 are excluded; any odd numbered addresses on Khandallah Road that are east of the intersection with Simla Cres are excluded).

Turning left into Simla Cres the boundary continues through Simla Cres to its intersection with Amapur Drive (note: number 92 and number 94 Simla Cres are the only addresses on this street that are included in the zone; all other Simla Cres addresses are excluded).

Turning left into Amapur Drive, the boundary continues northward into Khandallah Reserve and continues to Mt Kaukau excluding all other Simla Cres addresses from the zone but including all Amapur Drive addresses and all addresses of all side-streets off Amapur Drive.

From Mt Kaukau the boundary continues along the Skyline Track westward to include all Ngaio addresses that are north and west of Khandallah Road and west of Ottawa Road. Crofton Downs addresses and Chartwell addresses that are west of Churchill Drive or on Churchill Drive are in zone. All addresses in Martha Place, John Witton Drive and Kilgour Way are in zone.

From this point, the boundary line connects back to the starting point at the intersection of Blackbridge Road and Churchill Drive so that it excludes any Churchill Drive addresses that are south of Churchill Drive’s intersection with Blackbridge Road and excludes any addresses in Wilton Bush Road.
