Bookings are open for the January Wilderkids school holiday programme.

Wilderkids, run by Sustainability Trust, is a school holiday programme for kids who really want an adventure. Based in Wellington’s Town Belt, Wilderkids gets kids exploring the nature on our city’s fringes. The focus is on care, connection and curiosity.

With adventuring, scavenger hunting, survival skills, foraging and learning about our local natural environment all part of the upcoming Wilderkids, we've got the ultimate outdoor school holiday programme. Download the full January programme here.

The programme is:

For kids aged 5 to 12
Focused on connecting with and caring for nature and encouraging curiosity
$56 a day, with a 10% discount for full week bookings
Held at Innermost Gardens in Mt Victoria

We will be exploring many exciting Christmas crafts including baking, decoration making, ornaments, and creating love filled handmade gifts. Our trusty favourites will also be on hand like paint, paper, clay, stone, collage, construction and of course the "glue gun table" will all be available.

The Karori Arts and Crafts Centre have 2 fun kids art workshops on December 21st. You can choose to do either class, or combine them for a full day. Fimo and Felt - Making 9.30am - 12.30pm: Unleash your child’s imagination as they design, sculpt and mold FIMO or design, cut and stitch felt to create amazing and fun 3D bugs, space creatures, critters and more.

Watercolour Doodling Wonderland 1-4pm: Transform random watercolour shapes into forests, creatures, landscapes and more. This class will follow on from the original watercolour doodling course and will be quite abstract in focus. ($40 half day or $75 full day {$5 discount for kids members}). Every day, we're out-and-about exploring the Wellington area.

We'll be ice-skating, swimming, go-karting and playing mini-golf, seeing kids theatre

productions, going on tours, playing ten-pin bowls, not to mention “Mission Inflatable”,

“Time Cinema”, going to Somes / Matiu Island, doing a Circus Workshop and much more.

$45 per child per day (third child onwards :$20), 8.30 a.m to 6 p.m each day.
