Crofton Downs Primary School is delighted to invite you to the school’s 50th Jubilee celebrations on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May 2020.
The celebrations for Chartwell and CDPS will an opportunity to reflect on the past and imagine the future.

50th Jubilee programme
Friday 8th May
We will start our day with an old fashioned sports day followed by morning tea.
At approximately 11am founding pupils from the 1970s will share their memories and stories of school with current pupils.
From 1pm, visitors are invited to meet the current pupils and to view the school in action. Tours will start at 1.15pm, followed by afternoon tea.
At 2.30pm we will cut the 50th Jubilee cake and a whole school photograph will be taken.
Saturday 9th May
This will be our formal celebration day with the following proceedings.
10.00am Guests arrive for a Pōwhiri
Welcome - Chair of the School Board of Trustees, Jo Holland
Short speech - former Principal Toby Stokes
Short speech - Japanese Ambassador, The Ambassador of Japan, HE Kobyashi Hiroyasu
Short speech - founding pupil, Gill Stannard, and reply by a current pupil
Performances by CDPS students
Close and thanks - Jo Holland, Chair of the School Board of Trustees,
Tours of the school, classrooms, and the bush
Viewing of photo boards
Class photos of year groups from 1970/1975 etc.
12.00pm BBQ, lunch and baking available for purchase (for PTA fundraising)
50th Jubilee memorabilia also available for purchase
from 5.30pm Reminisce and reconnect with friends at a relaxed cocktail function in the school hall.
Platter food and a drink will be available for $30
Food, craft beer from Abandoned Brewery, wine and gin cocktails will also be available to buy
