Our children are taught thinking skills and tools, as they are required and when they are ready. We believe in teaching children these skills and tools from our New Entrant room until they have completed Year 6.

Our Year 1 children are very adept at using ‘The 6 Hats’ to help order their thinking and record their ideas and thoughts. Our Year 6 children are able to use a variety of tools such as The 6 Hats, Blooms Taxonomy and a variety of Thinkers Keys

You can ask your child’s teacher about the thinking tools they are using in their classroom, and can see for yourself how they are used in work displayed around the classroom, particularly at our showcase evenings each term.
